TB-500 is the synthetic form of thymosin beta-4 (Tb4), a 43 amino acid actin-sequestering protein found abundantly in mammalian cells and highly conserved across species. It is supplied as the full-length, N-terminally acetylated 43-residue sequence, which contains the LKKTETQ actin-binding motif at residues 17-23 that mediates much of its biological activity.
